  It contains electronic theses from 1998 onwards. The abstracts of these theses can be accessed outside the campus network. The full text versions may be viewed from the Rhodes University network only, unless otherwise indicated.

University of the Witwatersrand Electronic Theses and Dissertations Database
  The General Rules of the University requires every post-graduate student to submit two final, corrected copies of the dissertation or research report or thesis in a printed format as well as a final, corrected copy in electronic
format. The availability of Wits theses and dissertations electronically will undoubtedly lead to increased visibility of the institution internationally.
 
UPeTD : University of Pretoria Theses and Dissertations
  UPeTD forms part of the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations and provides access to fulltext.
 
DATAD : Database of African Theses and Dissertations
 The DATAD database contains citations and abstracts for theses and dissertations completed in African universities. The launching database includes works from all subject areas in ten leading universities and include abstracts written by the authors.
In order to search, you must register and then login before you will be able to access brief citations in the DATAD database. To search the entire database you will need to subscribe or connect from a subscribing institution.
 
Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations
 This Union Catalog will serve as a repository of rich graduate educational material contributed by a number of member institutions worldwide. Our hope is that this project will increase the availability of student research for scholars, empower students to convey a richer message through the use of multimedia and hypermedia technologies and advance digital library technology worldwide.
